Een decennium vol karton: Kartent bestaat 10 jaar!

A decade full of cardboard: Kartent is turning 10!

Hooray! We're blowing out 10 candles! What started as a wild idea: a cardboard tent for festivals, has grown into a creative company where anything is possible out of cardboard. From toys and furniture to complete exhibition stands and custom work for businesses. We make absolutely everything out of cardboard.

What a trip!

Ten years ago, we were at festivals with our sustainable tents. Now, you'll find our products not only at campsites but also in living rooms, offices, classrooms, trade fairs, shops, and museums. In recent years, we've continued to grow and innovate, with a range that now includes over 300 cardboard products.

Our highlights

We proudly look back on some of our greatest milestones:

  • The "Cardboard Village" at the BOOM Festival in Portugal. A village of 1,000 cardboard tents!

  • During the coronavirus pandemic, we quickly pivoted from festivals to an online cardboard shop full of home products. Now we have over 300 products in our range and we make (almost) everything out of cardboard! From cabinets, lamps, and beds to toys, exhibition stands, and custom solutions.

  • After that, we started printing our first products. Our first printed papercrib was released in May 2020.

  • Our tallest booth ever: a 3.5-meter-high cardboard arch for ICE Cobotics. It was displayed at the Interclean exhibition at the RAI.

  • And then this masterpiece: a Porsche 911 made from no less than 1,100 layers of cardboard – our first real layered project!

Cardboard business card, new style

Our growth is also reflected in our new corporate identity and business cards. Here are our business cards from over the years! Which is your favorite?
