Sustainable and circular

It won't surprise you: sustainability and circularity are in our DNA and form the foundation of Kartent, with our unique cardboard festival tent as the cardboard hero. For us, sustainability means environmentally conscious design, creative reuse, and minimizing waste. We also strive to reuse materials as much as possible: for example, a stool may have previously served as a trade show wall, and we encourage reuse whenever possible.

Cardboard is inherently circular because it's made from renewable resources like wood fiber and is highly recyclable. After use, cardboard can be easily collected, processed, and repurposed into new cardboard products without losing any of its quality.

This process can be repeated multiple times, making cardboard a sustainable and circular material that fits perfectly within a circular economy. Moreover, cardboard is biodegradable, meaning that even if it does accidentally end up in nature, it won't cause long-term environmental damage.

When we think of sustainability, we consider the entire life cycle of a product, compared to a comparable "linear" alternative. For example, plastic has a significantly higher ecological footprint during production than cardboard.

Based on our mission and vision, we are committed to:
